About Court & Sand

What we do

Each video explains one part of the game: a rule, a position, a rotation, a skill. On this site every video gets an article with what a video can't hold: diagrams, the rule numbers, a drill for training and the sources.

How we work

• Rules are described in our own words, always with the number in the official FIVB rulebook, so you can check them.
• Every number has a source and the date we checked it.
• Technique tips are general coaching advice for training.
• We correct mistakes: write to hello@courtandsand.com.

Independent

Court & Sand is an independent site. It is not affiliated with the FIVB or any league, federation or club. We use their names only to describe the rules and the sport, and we show no logos and no match footage.

Pictures

The diagrams, courts and the rotation tool are our own drawings. Illustrations made with AI tools are marked “Illustration (AI)” and listed on the image credits page. We do not show AI-made faces of real people.

Auf Deutsch

Our sister site Volley Wissen explains volleyball in German, with its own videos and drills for club training.
